Diamond Valley Students and Staff Give 1500 Cans and Food Items

On 11/19/15, Diamond Valley Middle School hosted its 2nd Annual Gobble Give. DVMS students all donated a wide range of non-perishable items. This included several boxes of stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and green beans. All the fix in’s for an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. As a reward for students’ generosity, they received the last hour of the day to enjoy in festivities including watching a movie and playing sports with their favorite teachers. Diamond Valley Middle School donated over 1500 items to Hemet Food Pantry!!! What a great result to help our community for the holiday! As an added bonus, we teamed up with our local church, Emmaus Christian Fellowship, and provided 16 complete Thanksgiving dinners to DVMS families who are in need of extra help for the holiday season. 16 families received a care package including a turkey, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, and stuffing. Our DVMS families were so thankful and amazed to receive such generosity from their school community.
