Purpose: Peer Leadership students will participate in training focused on
developing the skills necessary to educate their peers on the health effects of
tobacco use, vaping, and substance abuse. Students will learn about interpersonal
communication and facts about smoking, vaping, and substance use. Participation in
this training event builds agency among students for affecting change at their school
sites, as well as building community within peer leadership teams and between
teams across the district.
