Both the boys and girls basketball teams are playing well. They are set to play at least 10 games this season. The first games for DVMS were competitive and exciting.
The girls were 11 points behind in their first half of the first game against Monte Vista from San Jacinto, but they turned the game around dramatically in the second half. The girls finished the game with a 41 - 26 victory.
The boys never had a lead in their game, but kept closing in on the Bobcats coming within 7 points toward the end. Monte Vista had 4 three point shots that were miraculous keeping DVMS at bay.
