Hello, my name is Tasha Burton. I will be one of the World History teachers helping your child with distance learning this year!

I grew up in Temecula and I went to college at Palomar Community College, Cal State San Marcos, and Concordia University in Irvine.  I have an AA in Social & Behavioral Science, BA in History, and a Masters in Education & Curriculum Design.  I have been teaching 7th grade World History for 10 years now. I taught 7 years in the High Desert, in a town called Hesperia, at Ranchero Middle School and this is my 3rd year here in Hemet at Diamond Valley Middle School. I am also the PLUS/YES I CAN teacher this year on campus. I have a passion for history and love talking about all of the amazing civilizations from around the World and I can not wait to take your student on an adventure through time with me!

A little bit about myself is that I am a mother of three. My kids range in age from 3, 5, and 7, so I am right there with you trying to be a parent and juggle work and distance learning at the same time! I have been married to a wonderful man for the past 13 years who served in the United States Marine Corps and who completed three tours in Iraq. Our family loves going to Glamis in the winter and riding through the sand dunes and relaxing at the beach during the summer time and watching our kids boogie board in the surf. I look forward to getting to know your student and working with you this school year!
