Welcome

Hello! My name is Mr. Shelby and I will be your English teacher here at DVMS. I serve as co-chair of the English Department. I was granted Teacher of the Year (TOY) 2019-2020. This is my seventh year teaching middle school. I graduated with a degree in Psychology from the best college- Cal State University at San Bernardino and went on to acquire my Master’s Degree in Education from University of Pheonix. Finally, I earned the receipt of my Administrative Services Credential from ACSA Leadership Institute Sacramento Office of Education. My time at Diamond Valley Middle School has allowed me to mentor and support interns and student teachers through the completion of the credentialing process. My work with underrepresented populations and towards inclusion and equity, is something that is of paramount importance in my career. In continuing this vital work, I look forward to increasing cultural awareness and involving all stakeholders in the process district-wide.
