Here's a little bit about me!
I received my first teaching credential in 1995 from Easter Michigan University. I graduated with the knowledge and no how to teach general education grades K-8 and the drive to teach students with emotional impairment grades K-adult. I moved to California and began my teaching career working in Yucca Valley as a middle school special education teacher. I moved from Yucca Valley to the Palm Springs area where I began working at Desert Sands Unified School District. There I taught grades 1st -12th. During my 10 years at Desert Sands Unified my 2 person family grew to 4. I enjoy camping, hiking and gardening with my two daughters and 3 dogs! I was excited to receive Teacher of the Year in 2004. In 2005 I moved to the Temecula area and began working for Hemet USD. I first worked at Whittier; working with students from K-5! I loved working there; the students and staff were amazing. I found out Cawston needed a special education teacher to work with students in grades K-3-I jumped at the opportunity! I moved from Cawston to Bautista Creek working with the same population. I decided 5 years ago to expand my experience and set sail on Diamond Valley Middle School where I teach fantastic 8th graders with my very funny husband Mr. Franklin.
