Homework Policy

Students at the middle school level can expect a minimum of five hours of homework weekly. Parents can assist by providing a quiet place of study with needed materials, encouraging a routine of completing work daily, and reviewing assignments with students. However, it is the
students’ responsibility to complete and turn in all homework.

Homework Requests

If your student is legally absent for two or more days, he or she may request the homework directly from teachers, or the parent may make a homework request by contacting the attendance office by 8:00 a.m. The due date for make-up work will be set at the teacher’s discretion. If your student
is absent for one day, he/she will need to get their work from their teachers. 24 hour notice is needed for homework requests
